BusyCal is a powerful, flexible, and heavily customizable calendar application for macOS and iOS. Developed by BusyMac, it is engineered for users who need total control over their schedule visualization and prefer to avoid recurring subscription fees. It offers robust tools for managing complex schedules, integrating tasks, and syncing with almost every major calendar provider.

Key Features

Unmatched Customizability – Completely tailor the calendar's appearance by changing fonts, colors, and layouts. You can choose exactly how many days to display in the week or month views.
Integrated Tasks – To-dos from Apple Reminders or other task managers appear inline on your calendar. Unfinished tasks automatically carry forward to the next day until completed.
Smart Info Panel – A dedicated, embeddable sidebar panel that allows you to quickly view and edit event details with precision without navigating through pop-up windows.
Extensive Sync Support – Compatible with iCloud, Google, Exchange, Office 365, Yahoo, Fastmail, Kerio, and Nextcloud. It also supports offline local networks (Wireless-LAN sync) for extreme privacy.
Travel Time & Weather – Automatically calculates travel time to your meetings with live traffic data and displays a multi-day live weather forecast directly on the calendar grid.
Conference Integration – One-click integration for generating and joining meetings via Google Meet, Zoom, Webex, and GoToMeeting.

Who Is It For?

BusyCal is built for power users, executives, and meticulous planners who feel limited by the native Apple Calendar. It is the premier choice for users managing multiple demanding accounts who want maximum data density and refuse to pay a monthly SaaS subscription for a calendar.

Why Use BusyCal?

BusyCal’s primary advantage is its sheer depth of features and its pricing model. While it may not look as modern as some competitors, it provides a level of layout control and data density that other apps simply don't allow. Because it uses a perpetual license model (one-time purchase for the current version plus 18 months of updates), it is significantly more cost-effective over the long term than subscription-based alternatives.
