Processing Manual Affiliate Payouts

How to process manual affiliate payouts, export mass payment CSVs for PayPal and Wise, and reconcile merchant balances in Discover Mac Apps.

To process payouts for your affiliates, you execute the payments outside of Discover Mac Apps (e.g., via PayPal or your bank) and then mark the ledgers as paid in your dashboard.

The Payout Workflow

  1. Navigate to Payouts in your merchant dashboard.
  2. You will see a list of all requested payouts from affiliates who have met your Minimum Withdrawal threshold.
  3. Review the affiliate's requested amount and their provided payment details (e.g., their PayPal or Wise email).
  4. Log into your financial institution and execute the payment to the affiliate.
  5. Return to Discover Mac Apps and click the Mark as Paid button next to the request.

Exporting CSV (For Bulk Payments)

If you have dozens or hundreds of payout requests to process at once, you can export a CSV to upload into a batch processing tool like PayPal Mass Pay or Wise Batch.

  1. Navigate to Payouts.
  2. Click the Export CSV button in the top right corner.
  3. A spreadsheet will download containing the Affiliate Name, Email, Requested Amount, and their specific Payout Details (PayPal, Wise, Crypto, Bank details, etc.).
  4. Use this CSV to run your bulk payment.
  5. Once the batch finishes processing in your bank, return to Discover Mac Apps and click Mark All as Paid.

Marking as Paid

It is critical that you click Mark as Paid after you have successfully transferred the funds. Clicking this button does several things instantly:

  1. It moves the affiliate's balance from Pending Earnings to Paid Earnings.
  2. It marks all underlying conversions that made up that payout request as paid.
  3. It removes the request from your active queue.

[!WARNING] Do not click "Mark as Paid" before you actually send the money. If a bank transfer fails or a PayPal transaction doesn't go through, but you already marked them as paid in Discover Mac Apps, the affiliate's ledger will incorrectly show that they were compensated for those sales.
