While every affiliate gets a default tracking link pointing to your homepage (e.g., yoursite.com/?ref=john123), experienced marketers often need more control over where they send traffic.
Deep Linking
Affiliates can generate "Deep Links" directly from their portal. A deep link is an affiliate link that points to a specific page on your website, rather than the homepage.
For example, if an affiliate is writing a blog post about your new "Pro Dashboard" feature, they can generate a link that goes directly to yoursite.com/features/pro-dashboard/?ref=john123.
This results in a higher conversion rate because the traffic is highly targeted.
Custom Slugs
By default, an affiliate's referral parameter is a random alphanumeric string (e.g., ?ref=a7b9c2).
Inside their portal, affiliates have the option to customize this slug to match their brand (e.g., ?ref=johndoe or ?ref=tech-newsletter).
This makes the links look cleaner and more trustworthy to their audience.
